MHCSN Advocacy Priorities
- Collaborate with lawmakers, MDHHS, centers for independent living, behavioral health and other community based organizations to answer the call when seniors need support and services.
- Ensure that home and community-based services are fully funded to effectively serve those individuals that wish to age in place. This can be accomplished by increasing capitation rates for the Ml Choice Medicaid Waiver Program.
- Create more housing options for seniors and those with disabilities to ensure these vulnerable populations do not “fall through the cracks”.
